Get answers to common questions about Full Arm Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth arms for three to six weeks depending on hair cycle and personal growth rate. Regular waxing can prolong intervals by weakening follicles. Factors like hormones and genetics affect timing; we'll advise tailored scheduling.
No — waxing removes hair from the root and does not cause thicker regrowth. Over time, repeated waxing can make hair finer and sparser. Initial appearance of darkness is often due to contrast with smooth skin; results vary by individual.
Sensitivity varies; brief stinging is normal during hair removal. We use soothing techniques, temperature-controlled wax, and pre/post-care to minimize pain. Arrive well-rested, avoid caffeine, and apply numbing creams or pain relievers if advised to reduce sensitivity.
Ensure hair is about quarter-inch long (7-10mm). Exfoliate gently a day or two before and avoid moisturizers or oils on the day of service. Inform us about recent tanning, medications, or skin sensitivities for safe treatment.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, and vigorous exercise for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or specialized post-wax lotion, wear loose clothing, and skip perfumes or exfoliating products for two days. Keep skin clean to prevent irritation or ingrown hairs.
Consult with your healthcare provider if pregnant or taking medications that affect skin sensitivity or circulation. Some medications (retinoids, accutane) prohibit waxing. We require disclosure and may recommend a patch test or alternative hair removal methods for safety.
